Canvas Skirt

This flared skirt is made from a strong cotton canvas. The fabric is stiff so the skirt really flares out on its own, add to that a faced hem. The pocket flaps are piped at the edges in Liberty of London fabric and held in place with a gold button. skirt3 skirt1skirt2

Haberdashery #3 Brin de Cousette

A truly inspirational haberdashery specialising in cross point and embroidery. The shop consists of threads, canvasses, and a lovely collection of books on the subject (one was written by the shop owner). The aforementioned book was also the inspiration for Romeo’s Embroidered Doudou. Also available are kits to get you started and some very freindly advice. I also love that the threads for sale have been ‘hand picked’ by the shop owners so you can be sure to have a rich harmony of colours… no need to spend hours mulling it over.

Knitted Blanket

Here is a photo of the completed knitted patchwork blanket. The pattern is a free download by Lion Brand Yarns called Patchwork Sampler Throw in the category ‘Knitting Patterns for the Home’ on their website. The blanket was posted on my blog last year at it’s halfway stage. I’m happy it’s finished. Now I just need to decide who to give it to!
